Thoughts Of...
by
Tholana Chakravarthy
If the frontiers of peace
Are adoringly spread
From one continent to another,
The delights of a secured life
Reflect in every human face.
No doubt, the rays of glee
Would throw the desired light
To enlighten one and all
In every corner of the world.
Like a devoted gardener
Who blissfully watches
Each leaf and bud unfurl
With equal devotion and spirit;
We all should ensure
Peace blossoms for sure
In every garden of heart.
Thoughts of peace
Should we cultivate in each,
Thoughts of compassion
Should we nurture in each;
Like the endless dawns
Should be our endless efforts,
To the best possible extent,
That the seeds of harmony
Would sprout with deep roots
To have an everlasting impact.

In Solitude
by
Tholana Chakravarthy
When the butterfly
Takes a pollen dance,
In joy unbound
It flips its wings.
The beautiful wings
Delicate and delightful
Please our eyes,
Fill hearts with glee.
These scarce moments
Are but short-lived
But memorable to cherish
In the serenity of solitude.
Into memorable past
When childhood slips,
When the wings of youth
Aspire to fly high
To reach new horizons,
Can someone stop
The surging moments.
These scarce days of life
Though for a short span stay,
Scripting moments of glitter
On the radiant pages of memory
Would it not delight us most
Often to recollect, in solitude.
