The Light of the Sun by Joseph McGuinness
The Light of the Sun by Joseph McGuinness
It is the story of a young man (Sol) who wakes up one day,
upset that the world is torn apart, and goes across the
country looking for inspiration and trying to change the
world with his words. He travels from Folly Beach, SC (the
place I have been living while finishing the book) to LEAF
(my first arts festival and poetry slam in Asheville, NC) to Bonnaroo (one
of the most amazing places on earth) out to the desert (Burning Man). Along
the way he meets his So(u)l's counterpoint (Luna) and she guides him along
with a few other friends. Their conversations focus on Love, war, religion,
metaphysics, and the supernatural. As they travel, the gods are being forced
to write the end of man (Post Apokalyptika: A History of the Future), but
Lila, Sol's muse, does not want to let them die.She relinquishes her status
as a god to come down to earth and help them to complete their mission and
give birth to Love.

Sleepy Town by Greg Freier
Sleepy Town by Greg Freier
Sleepy Town is what could be construed as a living Rockwell
painting had he fallen on his head a few too many times...a
slightly twisted and maniacal series of semi-connected short
stories of what small town life could be, should be and probably
is...just not where you live...at least as far as you know...
featuring the stories "Meteor Days," "The Legacy of Edward Salad,"
"The Fumigated Trains," "Freaking Armadillos," and "Camp Phil
and the Purple Monks."

Thinking for Distance by Greg Freier
Thinking for Distance by Greg Freier
Thinking For Distance is the second book by international
playwright Greg Freier. It's a series of humorous, twisted,
and farcical short stories that range from semi-autobiographical
fiction, to the totally absurd. Featuring, "Mr. Bomphrat," the
story that is, not the person. I'd also like to know who that
is on the cover. He seems scary.

My Date with Veronica Lake by Jeremy Schneider
Sam Pileggi has been on many dates in his life, but non of them
can compare to the one he is going on tonight. When Sam meets
former silver screen star Veronica Lake he is instantly smitten,
that she has been dead for over 30 years does nothing to quell
his affection. Veronica will be his guide as Sam is taken on a
dizzying journey beginning in the streets of Manhattan and ending in
the skies above the Atlantic Ocean. One thing is for sure, this is a
date Sam will never forget.

Last Man Out of Europe by Roger Cotrell
Reinterpretation of Orwell's 1984 as a noir thriller.
Stuart Christie is providing reviews. He so liked HOLLYWOOD
BOWL that he's got me adapting his factual memoir of radical
politics during the Vietnam War as a movie script for a well
known Hollywood producer whom I can't mention at present as
it will blow the deal.
