Barney (Bernard) Scally was born, reared, and stil resides in Rhode, County Offaly, Ireland. He is married with four kids, three girls and a boy, all gone now to live their own lives. He worked for the ESB for thirty five years, but is now retired, a little earlier than he hoped, due to the closure of the plant. He was educated in Edenderry. Due to the hardship of the times, and going to work young, national school was the limit of his education. |
