Sarah Gyan is an accomplished literature student. She attended the St. Augustine Girls’ High School, followed by the University of the West Indies, where she pursued a Bachelors Degree in Literatures in English and a minor in History. She belongs to a family of teachers, both at Elementary and High school levels. She is currently a Language, Literature and Social-Studies Teacher at Hillview College in Trinidad and Tobago. She is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester. She has spent seven years of her life focusing on theatre, poetry and short-story writing, singing and other interesting forms of art. Her passion for philosophy and feminist writings combined with experiences of herself and others have led to the creation of the collection of poems entitled “Jigsaw Puzzle.”
