Fear's Mask
by
Catherine York
Fear is a crippling phenomenon.
Fear is what holds you down clinging to your sheets, staring down the crouching tiger in the corner.
Fear is the eternal group of bottomless torment.
Fear is a motivational source of inspiration, perspiration and exasperation.
Fear is a motherly skeletal figure holding us all in the delicate balance.
Fear is rapture at midnight.
Fear is an inconsolable wretch.
Fear is a poignant silence.
Fear is an uncertain fortune.
Fear is a faceless mirror staring back at you.
Fear is a journey that has no destination.
Fear is the strong beat of a weak heart.
Fear is the meager beginning to an inevitable end.
