Go On Then

by

Dominae Cole

He keeps forgetting to mention
that he`s hanging out with
a past love, but love only
lives in the present, so what
is he talking about?

It would sting less if I didn`t
like the songs he wrote about
her so much. Those are his
best songs.

But I`m okay with it,
and I shoudln`t be, but
I find myself saying,
“it`s cool,” and
“whatever happens, happens.”

Jealousy isn`t easy to evoke
because I don`t see the point.
I can`t be bothered to dual
for anyone`s affection.

So go on then, write another
song about her, what do
I care? I like those
better anyway.
