Ode To Haiti

by

Trisha Martin

The images are just too much for me to bare
so I just pray and ask God to take care
of every soul affected by this quake
Lord have mercy for goodness sake
for every boy, girl, woman and man
heal their bodies, heal their land
tragedy has stuck but look at God
now Haiti gets more than a nod
once ignored, once forsaken
all because it's roots were shaken
Haiti was last, but now it's first
thank the world for your new birth.
